Senior ARC SME (Fixed-Term)

About the role

bp's Finance Business & Technology (FBT) centre is looking for a Senior ARC (Accounting, Reporting & Control) SME on a fixed-term basis. The role ensures that operations are managed, controlled and developed in a "process designed" way to deliver value to the Rhine business. It is a hybrid office/remote position with no travel expected and no relocation assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong partnerships with business partners to support smooth operations and project delivery.
• Provide technical analysis and feedback on the impact of projects, upgrades and modifications.
• Support General Ledger and reporting processes, helping clients understand financial data.
• Maintain Control Evaluation Templates, support self-assessments and facilitate internal and external audits.
• Support system transformation projects and act as a process domain expert.
• Deliver training, coaching and guidance to operations teams.
• Support continuous improvement and help deliver services in line with SLAs, KPIs, targets and budgets.
• Collaborate with regional FBT SMEs, process leads and global partners.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA or Tax Advisor qualification is an advantage or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in Finance & Accounting, including Group Close, Contract Management and Financial Reporting.
• Experience supporting process improvements, system transformations and change initiatives in a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Financial reporting, accounting policies and financial systems.
• Project management, problem-solving and stakeholder management.
• Lean, Kaizen or Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
