Test Architect - Platform Engineering

About the role

Siemens Healthineers is looking for a Test Architect for its Platform Engineering function. You will define and drive the testing strategy across the platform landscape and strategic initiatives, giving strategic direction and technical leadership on testing to the whole product organization and key projects. You will work closely with engineering, product and quality teams to build scalable quality practices, advance automation and ensure reliable software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the overall test strategy across Platform Engineering and strategic programs.
• Establish shift-left testing practices and integrate quality validation into development and CI/CD workflows.
• Define scalable approaches for integration, system, deployment and performance testing.
• Develop and evolve automated verification and validation frameworks.
• Define quality metrics, dashboards and release-readiness indicators.
• Work with Software Quality Engineers, architects, product managers and engineering teams to drive testing standards and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience designing and implementing test strategies in complex software environments.
• Experience working with Software Quality Engineers or comparable quality organizations.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in integration and system testing, quality engineering and test automation.
• Hands-on experience with shift-left testing and CI/CD-based validation approaches.
• Ability to turn complex technical systems into pragmatic, scalable testing solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
