Reliability Engineer for Mobility Electronics

About the role

As a Reliability Engineer in the Mobility Electronics division, you will ensure that electronic control units for braking, steering, radar, video, sensors and related functions meet the highest standards of reliability and performance for a broad range of automotive manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Define product loads based on use cases, life‑cycle and requirements.
• Perform calculations and simulations to assess loads and critical damage mechanisms.
• Plan and evaluate measurements to determine load capability of design elements.
• Review product designs and provide reliability‑based recommendations to improve robustness.
• Discuss reliability and validation results with internal and external customers.
• Design validation tests covering field loads, standards and aging laws.
• Conduct physical failure analysis and support root‑cause investigations.
• Prepare English reports and present findings to project teams and customers.
• Coordinate reliability activities such as simulations, tests and analyses.

Required profile

• MSc or BSc in mechanical, vehicle or electrical engineering, physics, chemistry or a comparable field.
• Interest and experience in electronics, failure analysis methods and material sciences.
• Strong analytical skills with a structured, precise working style.
• Good communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Proficient English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
