Director of Sales

About the role

Four Seasons Gresham Palace Budapest is looking for a Director of Sales to lead and manage the hotel's sales team, drive revenue growth, maintain high guest satisfaction and contribute to the hotel's financial performance. The role requires regular travel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue growth and hotel budget targets.
• Recruit, lead and manage the sales team, and supervise personnel including labor and payroll, compliance training, safety instruction and expense and travel guidance.
• Negotiate group contracts and build relationships with guests, vendors, colleagues and the global sales network.
• Analyze sales performance and market data, prepare reports for senior management and adjust strategies to meet goals.
• Take part in trade shows, promotional events and networking to develop new markets.
• Maintain key account relationships and monitor business trends to secure profitable sales in low and high demand periods.
• Assist the Director of Marketing in setting annual sales goals, developing the annual marketing plan and executing market plans, and supervise sales and marketing procedures against company standards.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in hotel sales, preferably in luxury hospitality for at least two years, ideally with multi-property experience.
• Fluent English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of the local and regional hospitality industry.
• Regular travel is required.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of hotel operating systems such as Sales Force, Delphi and Opera.
• Communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with results-oriented, organized and diplomatic approach.
