Restaurant Manager

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest is looking for a dedicated, service-driven Restaurant Manager to lead a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant. The role covers the dining room, bar, retail elements, wine program and local community events, and calls for a hospitality professional who delivers exceptional guest experiences and builds a supportive, high-performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the restaurant operation, keeping a visible presence during all service periods and upholding service standards and strategic goals
• Promote positive guest relations, handle concerns and special requests professionally, and partner with Guest Experience and PR teams to build guest loyalty
• Lead, train, mentor and retain staff across service, kitchen and bar, and take part in hiring and onboarding
• Drive financial performance through labor management, cost control, budgeting, scheduling, purchasing and inventory, and act on performance metrics
• Collaborate with culinary and bar teams on menu design, product quality and cost decisions, and help generate ideas for social media and local engagement

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a comparable luxury restaurant, with a strong background in French cuisine and French dining culture
• Experience in luxury hospitality or internationally recognized restaurant concepts is highly desirable
• Excellent command of English; Hungarian and other European languages are an advantage
• Current work authorization in Hungary or an EU passport

Required skills

• Comprehensive food and beverage expertise, with wine and beverage program knowledge; sommelier knowledge and bar expertise are highly valued
• Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
• Commercially minded, with an innovative approach to marketing and guest engagement
